Women in rural areas of Pakistan have admirable hand embroidery skills. The quality of their work is excellent, but unfortunately they have to sell their work on very low prices, as these women are not aware of the market rates in big cities. These women work hard and help their men, to make an increase in the income as to support their family. Women in our villages also not get proper information about the trends and designs of the clothes exhibited in urban areas of the country, but still the Multani, Sindhi, Balochi etc embroidered clothes are famous among women and young girls of Pakistan.

Maternal mortality number is shooting sky high amongst the women of Pakistan. The worldwide mortality ratio of women is rising alarmingly as well.
Nevertheless, according to latest reports, the highest number of maternal death is registered in Pakistan, where one out of every six pregnant women dies. Pakistani women too face the risk of death as stated by the analysis.
Owing to the inefficient management of the health care department, no one knows whether any improvement can be expected in the mortality matter of the pregnant women.
Women leaving in the urban areas are well off then those in the rural areas. The poor women in the backward areas barely have an access to proper medical care, which exposes them to speedy death.

Saima and Fareeha enjoying summer
Pakistan’s favourite daughter in law, Sania Mirza has created a sensation the likes of which hasn’t been experienced in the region since the celebrated wedding of Imran Khan and Jemima. By choosing to marry small town cricket captain Shoaib Malik, Sania has effectively given the boot to over half a billion of her male compatriots in India. With jealousies simmering on both sides of the border – although more so on the eastern side – this relationship promises to be a explosive affair indeed.
Sania Mirza shocked millions of Indian men as she announced her decision to marry Shoaib Malik. The couple have decided to settle in Dubai afterwards, a wise decision given the now manifest tendency of the Indian establishment to play wedding spoiler, Bollywood style and all. As the public awaits with bated breath the possibility of an actual wedding – or otherwise – pent-up emotions on both sides of the border rise with each passing moment.
Dress Designer in Lahore Hiba Manzoor
As we know, Lahore is a center of all types of Muslim fashion in Pakistan. All leading Muslim and Islamic fashions are first displayed in Lahore and all others follow suit. The major clothing markets offer the latest trends and styles of clothing articles regardless of the origin. A few years ago buying readymade stylish abayas in Lahore was not as easy as only the plain and classic ones were largely available. Women wanting to go for a unique look had to visit their tailors with designs in mind to create an exclusive look for themselves.
Recent years have brought forth a change in this though. Today there are retail stores for abayas and hijabs open all around the fashion central of Pakistan. People who understood the dilemma of the abayas clad women ventured into launching stylish boutiques that offer these garments in an assortment all colours, styles and designs. Embroidered and fancy to simple and classic all can be found under one roof with big name designers to back up their authenticity of distinctiveness.
Hiba joins us from Lahore Pakistan and sends some photos captured by herself. She is fashion designer and running her Boutique in Cantt area in Lahore. Hiba completes her education from Lahore and UK universities and selected the Pakistani markets to work. She thinks that Pakistan especially Lahore is heart of Asian fashion.
